The Yankees have traded LHP Nick Ramirez to the Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations, and also signed RHP Phil Bickford to a minor-league deal.
Ramirez, 34, was designated for assignment Saturday when the Yankees added non-roster LHP Tanner Tully to the 40-man and 26-man rosters. He made 32 appearances with the Bombers last season, posting a 2.66 ERA in 40 2/3 innings and notching one save, but he was optioned to Triple-A to begin this season.
Bickford, 28, was released by the Mets at the end of spring training after failing to make the MLB roster. He split last season between the Dodgers and Mets, going 5-5 with a 4.95 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 67 1/3 innings across 61 appearances.
