For a third consecutive year, Buffalo Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander has been nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
The award recognizes players for their work on and off the field, and their positive impact they have in the local community.

December 12, 2019 Alexander became the seventh player in team history to have multiple nominations for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award last year. He becomes the second player in franchise history to be up for the award three times, joining former Bills offensive lineman Ruben Brown.
The Bills have yet to have a player win the award.
The 36-year-old is currently in his fourth season with the Bills after signing as a free agent with the team back in 2016. In his four years with in Buffalo, Alexander has yet to miss a game, while making 42 starts on defense, registering 247 combined tackles, 24 sacks, nine forced fumbles and three interceptions.
Alexander has had another productive year on the defensive side of the ball and on special teams, racking up 44 combined tackles with two sacks, eight quarterback hits, nine passes defended and a forced fumble in all 13 games played this season.
The winner of the 2019 Walter Payton Man of the Year award will be announced during the NFL Honors show on Saturday, Feb. 1.
