Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen remained in concussion protocol on Wednesday, but was on the practice field doing individual position drills. Allen was hit in the head by New England Patriots defensive back Jonathan Jones on Sunday in the fourth quarter. He left the game and didn't return. Head coach Sean McDermott didn't provide any further updates when he met with the media for his weekly Wednesday press conference.

McDermott also announced that safety Dean Marlowe and fullback Patrick DiMarco were also in the league's concussion protocol and that running back Devin Singletary and cornerback Taron Johnson were both limited at practice as they continue to recover from hamstring injuries.

The Bills will travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans this Sunday at Nissan Stadium. If Allen can't play, Matt Barkley will assume the starting quarterback duties.

"We're always going to want to put players in positions that they're comfortable with, that puts them in positions of strength," McDermott said when asked about the differences between Allen and Barkley and how that impacts preparation. "We're extremely confident in Matt Barkley, so we'll just see how that moves forward as we go through the week."
