The 5-foot-9, 223-pound Moss is an aggressive, downhill runner, who not only doesn’t shy away from contact, but seems to welcome it. He’s tough to bring down, especially for smaller defensive backs once he gets going in the open field. NFL.com's Lance Zierlein described Zack Moss' running style as "like watching an exercise in controlled violence on just about every carry."
Moss, whose full name is Zaccheus Malik Moss, will be paired with second-year back Devin Singletary to bolster the Bills' backfield, which also includes T.J. Yeldon and Christian Wade.
One concern with Moss may be the amount of carries he had at the college level, coupled with his running style, given how hard he runs and how much contact he absorbs. He carried the ball 712 times and caught 66 passes for a total of 778 touches over four years at Utah, ranking in the top-10 in carries in the Pac-12 in each of the past three seasons.
Moss was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2019.
