Waddle heads to injured reserve after suffering a season-ending quad injury during practice on Sunday at St. John Fisher College.

The 28-year-old signed with the Bills in free agency to a one-year deal after playing last season with the New England Patriots. Waddle was one of several new players that general manager Brandon Beane brought in to help revamp the offensive line.

As for Jones, the Rochester native joins the Bills after a recent, but short stint with the Detroit Lions.

Since finishing his college career with Notre Dame in 2017, Jones has yet to play a snap in an NFL game. The 25-year-old has spent time primarily on practice squads with the Lions, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins.

Jones was originally a defensive tackle while at Notre Dame and when he played his high school days at Aquinas Institute. However, when the Giants signed Jones as an undrafted free agent, they converted him to an offensive tackle.

Jones is practicing with his new teammates on Tuesday as the Bills take part in their final practice of training camp at St. John Fisher College.
