The Buffalo Bills were looking for competition for punter Corey Bojorquez when they brought in Kaare Vedvik this offseason. The Bills must not have liked what they've seen, as they're going in a different direction with the signing of former New York Jets punter Lachlan Edwards.

August 19, 2020 Edwards, a native of Australia, started every game for the Jets since the start of the 2016 season. He led the NFL in total punts and total punt yardage last season.
Vedvik was teammates with Edwards in the 2019 season. When the Bills faced the Jets in Week 1 at MetLife Stadium, Vedvik was the Jets' kicker and Edwards was their punter. The Jets cut him following the game after he missed his only field goal attempt and his only extra-point attempt. The Jets ended up losing the game by one point, 17-16.
Vedvik switched positions this offseason from kicker to punter.
