Sweeney is seen by scouts as a blocking tight end at the NFL level. In four seasons at Boston College, Sweeney wound up with 99 catches for 1,281 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The Bills also took tight end Dawson Knox on Friday night with their second pick of the third round. The team traded both of their picks in the fourth round to the Washington Redskins in order to move back into the third round to take the product from Ole Miss.
