The Buffalo Bills traded up two spots in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft on Friday to move from the 40th overall pick to the 38th pick. With that pick, the Bills went on to select offensive tackle Cody Ford our of the University of Oklahoma.

April 26, 2019 The Bills utilized some of their draft capital in order to swing a deal with the Oakland Raiders, swapping the 38th and 40th overall picks, while the Bills also included a fifth round selection (158th overall) in the package to Oakland.
Listed at 6' 4" and 329-pounds at the NFL Combine, Ford ran a 5.21 40-yard dash and knocked out 19 reps on the bench press. In his time at Oklahoma, Ford was a standout performer on the gridiron. In 2017, he was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second-Team after playing 12 games and starting four. In 2018, Ford was a First-Team All-Big 12 selection by coaches, and was also named to the AP All-America Third-Team.
Ford missed the majority of the 2016 campaign with a broken fibula suffered in his fourth game of the season.
