Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Dylan Cozens didn’t think his thumb injury suffered Saturday at development camp was all that serious, but things have changed.
Cozens has undergone a procedure on Wednesday on his left thumb and will be out for approximately 2-3 months.

Injury update: Sabres forward Dylan Cozens underwent successful surgery on his injured left thumb earlier this week. His expected recovery time is approximately two to three months.

Cozens was hit by Brandon Hickey during the 3-on-3 tournament. It was right after he picked up his only point on a drop pass for a goal.

The Sabres took Cozens with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.
