Elie, McCabe, Rodrigues and Ullmark file for salary arbitration

The National Hockey League Players' Association announced on Friday at 5 p.m. the list of 40 players that have filed for salary arbitration.

Among the 40 players to file for salary arbitration, four Buffalo Sabres players are to meet with league arbitors between July 20 and August 4 in Toronto; forwards Remi Elie and Evan Rodrigues, defenseman Jake McCabe and goaltender Linus Ullmark.

Entering the day on Friday, the Sabres had six played eligible for arbitration. Zemgus Girgensons elected to sign his one-year qualifying offer that will pay him $1.6 million, while Johan Larsson has elected not to file for an arbitration meeting.

The NHLPA announced the dates for each arbitration hearing on Tuesday. Here is when each of Buffalo's restricted free agents are slated to speak with league arbitors:
  • Evan Rodrigues - July 23
  • Remi Elie - August 1
  • Linus Ullmark - August 2
  • Jake McCabe - August 4

Buffalo is one of three teams, along with the Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues, that will have four or more players to meet with league arbitors.
