The news that Buffalo Sabres fans have been pleading for has finally arrived. Everyone will have to wait a year, but the Sabres are going to back to royal blue.

Although the 2019-20 season marks the team's "Golden Season" for being in the National Hockey League for their 50th season, the 2020-21 season will actually be the Sabres' 50th season, so the timing does make sense.
Thursday's announcement also included news that another jersey will be unveiled Friday morning at 10 a.m. That jersey is expected to be the third jersey for the upcoming season, which was leaked a few weeks ago.
Whether or not the Sabres will have special nights throughout the season wearing the original uniform, the red and black uniforms, or even the slug uniforms is still to be determined.
The Sabres will also host their Fan Fest this Saturday at the Tops Alumni Plaza outside of KeyBank Center. More details of the event can be found below:
