Ottawa, ON (WGR 550) - You can boil this game down any way you want to, but we watched this team quit on the way to losing to the league's worst team.

On the Sens' fourth goal, it was a 4-on-2 because three forwards stopped skating and quit on the play. In the first period, it was turnover after turnover and just horrendous non-clears in their own zone.

Ottawa had four wide open goals as this team, once again, showed they have no idea of what they're doing in the defensive zone, none.

If some of these players aren't embarrassed by this game, then they'll never be embarrassed.

Carter Hutton was so disgusted at the end of the first period, he threw the puck out to center ice after the horn sounded.

Evan Rodrigues got power driven into the boards by Mark Borowiecki and there was zero response from his teammates.

Kyle Okposo understands what a bad game that was. He said, "We just have to have better respect for the game and we have to have more accountability. We have to have more accountability."

Jack Eichel wasn't any happier, "If you can't find anything to be motivated to play, this is the National Hockey League, maybe you shouldn't be here.

"Every loss sucks, we all got to be accountable, critical mistakes that we make every night, you watch the games, you see it, this is the National Hockey League, everybody has to be better, you can't go out there at play like that and expect to win"

With Ottawa winning, they left Buffalo as the worst team in the National Hockey League since they were in first place overall on Nov. 28. After last season, that is completely unacceptable.

Let's move on to young Will Borgen playing in his first NHL game. Less than 10-seconds into his first shift, he got a good hit right in front of the Sabres bench.

Later in the first period, he made a real nice lead pass to spring Zemgus Girgensons into the zone. I thought Borgen made the simple plays and that's why he really never got himself in trouble.

The kid played 14:54 in his first NHL game and admitted he was nervous as all players are to start their careers. He was given credit for three hits.
