Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - For the second time in three months, Victor Olofsson has been named NHL's Rookie of the Month.

Olofsson had six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 14 games. Olofsson did not record a point in his final four games of December. Montreal's Nick Suzuki had a goal and nine assists for 10 points.

Olofsson leads all rookies in scoring with 34 points. That's five points more than Colorado's Cale Makar.

The winger's 16 goals are five more than Chicago's Dominik Kubalik. Olofsson's 18 assists are third in NHL rookie scoring.

Only one player in Sabres history has led all NHL rookies in scoring. Gil Perreault did it in 1970-71.
