Buffalo Bills fans have wanted to see more of rookie running back Devin Singletary in the offense, and they got their wish this Sunday at New Era Field.

Singletary and the Bills improved to 6-2 on the season after a 24-9 win over the Washington Redskins (1-8). Singletary led the way for Buffalo with 95 rushing yards and a touchdown, while adding 45 yards receiving in the win.

Josh Allen was not asked to do much, going 14-of-20 passing for 160 yards and a touchdown. John Brown led Buffalo in receiving once again, with 76 yards on four catches.

Washington running back Adrian Peterson had a stellar first half with 101 yards on the ground, but the Bills defense limited the veteran running back to just seven yards rushing after halftime.

Buffalo got off to a hot start in the first half with points in three of its first four drives, with the fourth drive being a kneel down to end the half.

Their first drive of the game resulted in a six-yard touchdown pass from Allen to wide receiver Cole Beasley to take the 7-0 lead. It was Beasley's third straight game with a touchdown reception, the first Bills player to do so since Charles Clay in 2016.

Buffalo then added a field goal on its next drive to make it 10-0 to end the scoring in the first quarter.

The Redskins answered with a field goal of their own to make it 10-3 thanks to Peterson, who was a large reason for the Redskins staying in the game throughout the afternoon.

However, the Bills responded with a one-yard touchdown run from Allen on a quarterback sneak on 4th-and-goal. Buffalo was stopped on three runs at the Washington one-yard line, but Allen helped increase the Bills' lead to 17-3.

Washington added another field goal with three big runs from Peterson before halftime to make the score 17-6.

The Bills received the football to start the second half, but the offense went into a conservative shell with Buffalo stalling out and turning the ball over on downs after a failed attempt to move the chains on a 4th-and-1 at the Redskins' 24-yard line.

After another failed drive and a 15-yard punt from punter Corey Bojorquez, the Redskins were able to put up their final points of the game with another field goal to make the score 17-9 late in the third quarter.

The Bills were able to put the clamps down in the fourth quarter with a two-yard touchdown run from Singletary with just 2:21 remaining in the game to push their lead to 24-9.

Buffalo finished off the win with a big defensive stop on a 4th-and-4 play with 1:14 left to go as cornerback Levi Wallace was able to stop running back Wendell Smallwood two-yards short of the first down marker.
