Let me be upfront and clear about this mock draft. I changed the top pick for the sake of it possibly happening. Even though I still believe, as of right now, that the Arizona Cardinals will take Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray first overall, that certainly isn't a lock, and the exercise of them not doing it needs to be done. So here it is. Murray stays on the board and the Cardinals go defense with the top overall choice. That has a domino effect on all of the other quarterbacks, then the entire rest of the first round.

In my first mock, I had the Bills taking defenisve tackle Ed Oliver in Round 1, then wide receiver N'Keal Harry in the second. Things changed here, with the theme of helping Josh Allen and the offense continuing through the draft.

Here's mock No. 2:

Round 1:

1.) Arizona Cardinals - DE-  Nick Bosa (Ohio State)2.) San Francisco 49ers - EDGE - Josh Allen (Kentucky)3.) New York Jets - DT - Quinnen Williams (Alabama)4.) Oakland Raiders - LB - Devin White (LSU)5.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - EDGE - Rashan Gary (Michigan)6.) New York Giants - QB - Kyler Murray (Oklahoma) 7.) Jacksonville Jaguars - OT - Jawaan Taylor (Florida)8.) Detroit Lions - DT - Ed Oliver (Houston)

9.) Buffalo Bills - WR - D.K. Metcalf (Mississippi)

This offseason has been all about adding weapons for second-year quarterback Josh Allen, and the Bills just continue to do that with the wideout who had scouts and fans in awe with his workout at the NFL Combine. Metcalf isn’t just a workout warrior. He’s a freakish athlete with the size, speed, and strength to be a true No. 1 NFL wide receiver. He probably won’t be that from Day 1, but the Bills made enough moves at the position this offseason that he won’t have to right away, which is fine because Metcalf is still raw in many ways. So, he could work on the finer points of playing the position at the next level while still contributing in certain situations and, hopefully, making some big plays. However, he will eventually be counted on to be the team’s go-to, No. 1 wide receiver for many years.

10.) Denver Broncos - QB - Drew Lock (Missouri)11.) Cincinnati Bengals - TE - T.J. Hockenson (Iowa) 12.) Green Bay Packers - TE - Noah Fant (Iowa)13.) Miami Dolphins - QB - Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State)14.) Atlanta Falcons - CB - Greedy Williams (LSU) 15.) Washington Redskins - EDGE - Montez Sweat (Mississippi State)16.) Carolina Panthers - OT - Andre Dillard (Washington State)17.) New York Giants - EDGE - Brian Burns (Florida State) 18.) Minnesota Vikings - OL - Jonah Williams (Alabama)19.) Tennessee Titans - OL - Cody Ford (Oklahoma)20.) Pittsburgh Steelers - LB - Devin Bush, Jr. (Michigan)21.) Seattle Seahawks - CB - Byron Murphy (Washington)22.) Baltimore Ravens - EDGE - Clelin Ferrell (Clemson) 23.) Houston Texans - S - Chauncey Gardner-Johnson (Florida) 24.) Oakland Raiders - RB - Josh Jacobs (Alabama) 25.) Philadelphia Eagles - OT - Greg Little (Mississippi)26.) Indianapolis Colts - WR - N’Keal Harry (Arizona State) 27.) Oakland Raiders - CB - DeAndre Baker (Georgia)28.) L.A. Chargers - DL - Christian Wilkins (Clemson) 29.) Kansas City Chiefs - C - Garrett Bradbury (NC State)30.) Green Bay Packers - S - Nasir Adderley (Delaware)31.) Los Angeles Rams - CB - Amani Oruwariye (Penn State) 32.) New England Patriots - WR - Hakeem Butler (Iowa State)

Round 2:

33.) Arizona Cardinals - OL - Dalton Risner (Kansas State)34.) Indianapolis Colts - DT - Dexter Lawrence (Clemson) 35.) Oakland Raiders - QB - Daniel Jones (Duke) 36.) San Francisco 49ers - WR - Marquise Brown (Oklahoma) 37.) New York Giants - EDGE - Jaylon Ferguson (Louisiana Tech) 38.) Jacksonville Jaguars - EDGE - L.J. Collier (TCU) 39.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - CB - Rock Ya-Sin (Temple)

40.) Buffalo Bills - TE - Irv Smith, Jr. (Alabama)
Surprise! Even after signing 13 new offensive players and only four on defense, the Bills stay on that side of the ball again with their second pick, and another pass catcher for Allen. This time, it’s a tight end, a position many consider the Bills’ No. 1 need heading into the draft. Even though Iowa’s Hockenson and Fant are both still on the board when the Bills are on the clock at ninth overall, they passed and went with Metcalf, but were still able to get the consensus No. 3 tight end in Round 2 in Smith, Jr., who is athletic and fast and can stretch the field down the seam. Smith isn’t a great blocker, bur he can hold his own. He needs some more consistence in that area, but he’s well-rounded, has good hands, and is a fierce competitor. His personality is very suited to what Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane are looking for in players, and his game is perfect for what Allen and the offense could use to completely overhaul it.
