Thursday marks the one week mark from the start of the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Buffalo Bills hold on to the ninth overall pick in the first round, followed by nine more picks in the final six rounds of the draft. The team does have a number of positions still to address, and could certainly hold on to those picks to add some depth players. However, with that draft capital in hand, the Bills do have room to make another move up, or down the board to get they player that they see best fits the team.
After my
first mock draft dropped a couple of weeks ago, here is my second mock draft:

We all know Brandon Beane likes to trade up – doing so twice in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft moving up to secure Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds. What makes this trade ideal for Beane and the Bills here is that they end up with, arguably, the best player in the draft at fifth overall and also managed to keep three picks inside the top-75 of the draft. What we call in the business a win-win.
Not only do the Bills get the 3-technique they covet, but they get a player who might be the teams’ best defensive player walking off the stage. Williams has the strength and athleticism off the buss to not only be your every down 3-tech but also has the versatility to play all over and even bump inside on passing downs to create dynamic pass rushing packages. As a red-shirt sophomore, Williams put up eye-opening numbers in 15 games, tallying 71 total tackles – 19.5 of which were for loss. Sprinkle in eight sacks and you’re talking about one of the most dynamic interior pass rushers in college football. At the ripe age of 21, Williams would join what could become one of the best young defensive cores’ in football featuring Tre'Davious White (24), Tremaine Edmunds (20), and Matt Milano (24).
Add in the idea that the Bills could still decide to add a guy like Ziggy Ansah, who they’ve been in a holding pattern with. Ansah, Williams, Jerry Hughes in a contract year, Star Lotulelei, Jordan Phillips, and Shaq Lawson in a prove it season – boy are you talking about a mean front-four. Sign me up!
