It is a well known fact that the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers are two of the most most linked teams, not only in the National Football League, but in all of sports.

The Bills have 13 players and coaches in the organization that were previously with Carolina, while the Panthers have five former Bills within their franchise.

If given the ability to dip back into the Panthers' pool of players, with no restrictions, which Carolina star would improve Buffalo the most?

Fans took to Twitter for Monday's late night discussion to give their thoughts:

Josh Allen gets an elite weapon:
The most recurring choice that fans want to steal from Carolina is running back Christian McCaffrey.

There is actually only one right answer and that is, Christian Mccaffrey

CMC and its not even close

At just 23-years-old, McCaffrey has become one of the most dangerous offensive players in the NFL. While the former top-10 pick passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark and had seven rushing touchdowns in 2018, he also caught 107 passes for 867 yards and six touchdowns. His 867 receiving yards was more than the likes of Alshon Jeffery and Julian Edelman.

In two seasons, the Stanford-product has an astounding 187 receptions.

It makes since the fans want to give Josh Allen that kind of versatile weapon in the offense.

Josh Allen gets replaced:
A lot of fans decided to build around Allen through this excercise. Others decided to replace him with a very similar style of quarterback.

Cam Newton

Cam is what we pray Josh turns into

Cam Newton is seven years older than Allen, but he is a proven franchise quarterback, while the jury is still out on Buffalo's young signal caller.

After Newton became a repeated choice, we took to the polls to find out what percentage of Buffalo's fanbase would take the former MVP over their own mobile quarterback.

Cam Newton has been chosen multiple times. You get the power to select your QB between Newton and Allen.Choose.

Over 65% of voters preferred Allen. Perhaps Newton's multiple shoulder surgeries plays a key part.

Other selections:
Here are some other choices for players fans would steal from the Panthers for Buffalo.

Olsen. We're hurting at TE

Is there a way to sign a two-way contract with both teams?

Author's choice:

Grabbing McCaffrey, or a young receiver like D.J. Moore or Curtis Samuel would be enticing. However, the idea of pairing up Ed Oliver with Panthers rookie defensive end Brian Burns on the defensive line is something of nightmares for opposing offenses.

Burns was the sixth defensive lineman taken at 16th overall, but his upside might be higher than anyones.

The rookie pass rusher had two sacks in his preseason debut against the Chicago Bears.

Brian Burns vision as a pass rusher is incredible. I sound like a broken record, but he was the best pure pass rusher in the 2019 draft. He’s showing off his special skill set in his NFL debut. pic.twitter.com/n7sSbbSrVE
