Rodney Harrison: 'Strong possibility' Aaron Donald will retire if Rams win Super Bowl

Could Super Bowl Sunday be the last game of Aaron Donald’s career?

NBC Sports’ Rodney Harrison revealed during the Super Bowl LVI pregame that if the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals, “there is a strong possibility” Donald could retire.

“He’s big on legacy,” Harrison said. “He doesn’t want to be known as a defender that accomplished so many individual things but never won a Super Bowl. But also told me this: if he wins the Super Bowl, there’s a strong possibility he could walk away from the game and retire.”

Donald, 30, has been a Pro Bowl defender in all eight of his seasons and First-Team All-Pro in seven of them. He is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year but is missing a Super Bowl from what is already a Hall of Fame resume.

Should the Rams win on Sunday, it should be interesting to hear from Donald after the game.
