Aaron Rodgers plays coy on if he will start season with Packers

Aaron Rodgers is keeping things a mystery as to whether or not he will remain with the Green Bay Packers for the 2021 season.

The quarterback was asked by TNT announcer Brian Anderson during Tuesday's charity golf event "The Match" if "anybody is going to be there under center in a No. 12 jersey" when the Packers play the Chicago Bears.

"I don't know," Rodgers said. "We'll see."

Anderson tried again with the Week 1 opener against the New Orleans Saints, but Rodgers again played coy.

"I don't know. We'll see," he said again. "…I mean, I'm just having a good time out here with Tom [Brady]. I'm trying to talk to him about it – whether he's going to keep playing or not."

The reigning NFL MVP did not attend any of the Packers' organized team activities or mandatory minicamp last month. Veteran players must report to training camp for the Packers on July 27.

If Rodgers is a no-show for training camp, it will only further add fuel to the speculation on his future in Green Bay.

Rodgers, along with Bryson DeChambeau, won the charity golf event against Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson, making it the second time the latter duo has lost "The Match."
