Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills' season comes to an end once again with a loss in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.

After a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last season in the Divisional Round, this year's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals was certainly a disappointing one for a Bills team that had extremely high aspirations heading into the 2022 season.

The Bills went down early on and were never able to gain their footing throughout the game. The Bengals were able to control the majority of the contest, and safely secured a 27-10 victory to punch their ticket to the AFC Championship Game next week against Kansas City.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen had an uncharacteristic day in the air, only completing 25-of-42 pass attempts for 265 yards, no touchdowns and one late interception. He also added 26 yards rushing on eight carries.

With Buffalo's slow start to the game, the Bills found themselves down by 14 within the first two drives of the game. Allen felt the slowness to the team's game was a huge factor in what, ultimately, effected the outcome of the game.

"I couldn't tell you exactly, watch the film and maybe I could answer that a little bit better. We just couldn't find it," said Allen following the loss. "I thought we moved the ball when we had some of our possessions, but the two early three-and-outs and stalling throughout the game, you can't win football games that way."

Following a tough first quarter, the Bills had their chances to get back into the game. The team fell short of scoring just before halftime, which would have given them the opportunity to score in back-to-back drives as they opened the second half with the ball.

Allen says he was frustrated with the chances the team had that they didn't capitalize on.

"Playing from behind is never fun, but we had our opportunity to make it a one-score game before half and didn't take advantage of that. Didn't score a touchdown that first drive of the second half, we only got three," Allen said. "Against teams like this with a quarterback like that, you're going to have to score six and seven. So we didn't do a good enough job of that tonight."
