Orchard Park, N.Y (WGR Sports Radio 550) - While it was another closer contest than many had probably anticipated, the Buffalo Bills managed to take care of business on Sunday with a 31-19 win over the New Orleans Saints to remain unbeaten to start the season.
Despite the Saints entering this game winless to start the year, Bills quarterback Josh Allen knew they were coming into this game with a bit of desperation.
"They came out, they had a really good game playing offense and defensively," said Allen on Sunday following the win. "They're a team that's establishing the culture with their head coach. It seems like they're doing things the right way over there. They came ready to play."
Despite throwing two touchdown passes and accounting for another touchdown on the ground, Allen did commit the team's first turnover of the season with a second-quarter interception. Despite the interception, Allen praised his defense for having the team's back.
"We weren't doing ourselves any favors. The pick didn't help," Allen said. "Defense had our back, though. They played great all day today."
Allen also applauded running back James Cook following another stellar performance with 117 rushing yards and one touchdown.
"It seems like he's getting better each and every week, which is hard imagine," Allen said. "The way he has this patient to hit the hole, he's shot out of a cannon. His contact balance is unbelievable."
