Miami, Fla. (WGR 550) - It was a tightly contested game throughout in South Florida, but the Buffalo Bills ended up falling short to the Miami Dolphins, 21-19 at Hard Rock Stadium.

Despite battling the intense Miami heat and dealing with a plethora of injuries and hydration issues, Bills quarterback Josh Allen felt the offense didn't do enough to win their AFC East matchup on Sunday.

“The offensive side of the ball didn’t take care of business, and it starts with me,” said Allen following the loss in Miami.

While Allen passed for 400 yards flat and two touchdowns, he also coughed up the ball three times, losing one of his fumbles. In addition, Buffalo could not capitalize on a number of situations that could have put the game out of reach much sooner.

“We beat ourselves tonight," said Allen of red zone issues for the Bills. "Credit to [the Dolphins], they had a really good game plan, and they came out and did what they had to do."

Devin Singletary led the way receiving for the Bills with six catches for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile Gabriel Davis, who was questionable for much of the week, suited up on Sunday and dropped a potential touchdown late in the third quarter that could have put the Bills up 21-14. Instead, Buffalo had to settle for a 30-yeard field goal to take just a 17-14 lead, at the time.

While Davis was able to play, a number of others were unable to go, especially on the defensive side of the football. Although the injuries led to a rather raw unit for the Bills defense, Allen felt the group stood strong against a strong Miami offense.

"I thought our guys did a good job. Our guys stepped up,” Allen said.

The Bills' next opponent will be the Ravens (2-1) this upcoming Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on the official voice of the Bills - WGR Sports Radio 550.
