Pittsburgh, Pa. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills couldn't muster any offense early in their second preseason matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.

Despite a number of starting players playing into the second quarter, including Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen, Buffalo's offense sputtered en route to a 27-15 loss.

Allen finished his day in Pittsburgh going 7-of-10 for 64 yards in just three series played.

Despite the starting offense failing to produce, one of the bright spots in the Bills' passing attack was rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid, who caught three passes for 45 yards.

"He especially came out and made some really nice plays for us. That’s a positive sign," said Allen during his postgame comments on Saturday.

Allen also had a positive tone following the team's mental mistakes, which saw the group pick up 13 penalties for 93 yards on the day.

"A lot to learn from. I’m glad we are going through this now, as opposed to the season," Allen said.

The Bills may have also lost offensive tackle Tommy Doyle for an extended period after he left the game in an air cast over his left knee. Doyle missed most of last year after tearing his ACL in a Week 3 matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Allen feels for his third-year tackle, especially after coming off a devastating injury the season prior.

"You hate to see it," he said. "It’s part of the game, but you hate to see it, especially when it’s your own teammates and a guy who’s worked so hard to get back on the field."

The Bills will finish up their preseason schedule next Saturday, Aug. 26 against the Chicago Bears for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Soldier Field.
