Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR) - After a sloppy start against the winless Los Angeles Chargers, Josh Allen and the Bills found a way to comeback and leave Highmark Stadium still undefeated on the season and at home.
The offense turned the ball over a total of five times and Allen knows that type of offense won't win you games any other week.
"I mean, you're not going to win very many games turning the ball for that much. Sometimes the ball bounces the other way. That's what happens. But our guys fought. Our defense fought. Give us an opportunity to go make some plays," said Allen. "A lot of a lot of smoke detectors are going off right now. We got to clean a lot of stuff up."
Knowing that they could have been better offensively to start the first half, Allen and the offense knew the defense turned it up a gear this week to help them stay in the game.
"Sitting there, to to be tied at halftime felt like a dream to be honest. We knew that if we didn't turn the ball over, we'd put ourselves in good spots and we still came out and turned the ball over. Our defense played fantastic, so yeah, I mean that's not a game that you expect to win, but we'll we'll take them any any way we can get them."
Allen and the Bills will now look to prepare for a divisional clash against the New England Patriots on October 4th with kickoff at 1 P.M.
