Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills have officially activated wide receiver Gabe Davis from the practice squad/injured list.
Davis was drafted by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and spent four seasons with the team. He was then signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the 2024 season as a free agent, but was released earlier this year with an injury designation.
The 26-year-old signed with the Bills' practice squad before Week 1 of the regular season, but was immediately placed on the practice squad/injured list.
Davis is now officially on the team's practice squad and eligible to be elevated to the active roster a maximum of three times.
"I'm down for whatever, but that's an upstairs decision" said Davis when asked about the prospects of playing as soon as Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. "I've just got to go out there and keep working, and keep making sure my knee is ready to go."
Davis adds he felt good after Wednesday's session.
While the Bills welcomed the return of Davis to the practice field, they were, once again, without defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf) and wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle/knee).
