Bills announce 2026 coaching staff

Several offensive coaches have been retained by new head coach Joe Brady

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Joe Brady was named the new head coach of the Buffalo Bills back on Jan. 27. Since then, he's been formulating his coaching staff.

Two-and-a-half weeks after his hiring, the Bills have formally announced the new coaching staff surrounding Brady for the upcoming 2026 season in Orchard Park.

A number of coaches on the offensive side of the ball have been retained, while others have moved on and been replaced. Among the coaches that will remain with the Bills for the 2026 season on Joe Brady's staff include:

- Kelly Skipper - Running backs coach
- Rob Boras - Tight ends coach
- Austin Gund - Assistant offensive line coach
- Marc Lubick - Passing game specialist
- Kyle Schurmer - Offensive quality control coach
- D.J. Mangas - Offensive quality control coach/Assistant wide receivers coach

However, on the defensive side, it's shaping up to be a whole new staff under defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.

Perhaps the most notable addition to the Bills' coaching staff announced on Friday was the hiring of former NFL head coach John Fox as a senior assistant coach under Brady.

Fox has 16 years under his belt as a head coach in the league, amassing a career 133-123 record in stints with the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears.

The now 71-year-old recently spent time with the Detroit Lions as a senior defensive assistant during the 2023 season.
