Bills getting healthier at safety

Mike Edwards was able to return to practice on Wednesday

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - One day after rookie Cole Bishop returned to the practice field, veteran and fellow safety Mike Edwards joined him as the Buffalo Bills continued to practice outside the ADPRO Sports Training Center on Wednesday.

Bishop, once again, wore a red non-contact jersey, but Edwards did not.

However, both players still only participated in individual position work, and did not take any reps with the defense when going against the offense.

Another safety, Damar Hamlin, worked off to the side with trainers as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. But it was another positive step for Hamlin, who did not play in last Saturday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Linebacker Nicholas Morrow was in uniform, but did not take any team reps.

Linebacker Baylon Spector, wide receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Curtis Samuel, as well as tight end Quintin Morris all worked on the exercise bike.

Quarterback Mitch Trubisky watched from the side.
