Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) – The Buffalo Bills returned to the practice field on Thursday as they get ready to host the Denver Broncos this coming Monday night in prime-time, but started the week off with a lengthy injury report.
Ahead of Thursday's practice in Orchard Park, Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed a number of key defensive players pieces would miss practice for various reasons. Cornerback Christian Benford (hamstring), safety Jordan Poyer (leg), safety Micah Hyde (neck/stinger) were all absent due to injury for Buffalo, while defensive end Leonard Floyd missed Thursday's session due to an illness.
Perhaps some good news on the injury front for the Bills was linebacker Terrel Bernard being seen in a red non-contact jersey and listed as limited at practice with him being in concussion protocol.
Also listed as limited on Thursday included linebackers A.J. Klein (back) and Baylon Spector (hamstring).
In addition, quarterback Josh Allen continues to be listed on the injury report with a right shoulder injury, but he was able to practice as a full participant on Thursday.
The Bills will return to the practice field on Friday before one final practice on Saturday in Orchard Park.
