Bills make roster moves ahead of playoff matchup with Broncos

Ed Oliver and Curtis Samuel have been activated from Injured Reserve, while Frank Gore Jr. and Mecole Hardman have been called up from the practice squad

Denver, Colo. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills have made a number of roster moves ahead of their Divisional Round matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Coming off of injured reserve is defensive tackle Ed Oliver and wide receiver Curtis Samuel. For Oliver, it’s been a few injuries that have shortened his 2025-26 campaign. First an ankle injury that caused him to miss four games following week 1 against Baltimore and then, following that, he was put on injured reserve after suffering a torn pec against the Panthers in October.  Samuel however, was placed on IR in mid November with a neck and elbow issue.

The other moves the Bills have made are elevations from the practice squad. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman and running back Frank Gore Jr. get the call up. Gore Jr. was called up last week for the Bills Wild Card matchup with Jacksonville while Hardman has not been on the active roster since week 16 against Cleveland.

The Bills and Broncos will square off on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., with a trip to the AFC Championship Game on the line, where they will face the winner of the matchup between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans.
