Bills make roster moves ahead of training camp

Buffalo adds two players on offense, while also releasing a wide receiver and punter

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Just ahead of the start of training camp on Wednesday at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, the Buffalo Bills announced a number of transactions on the 91-man roster.

The Bills have signed a pair of depth offensive pieces for camp in wide receiver David White and tight end Matt Sokol. In subsequent moves to accommodate those additions, the Bills have released wide receiver Kelly Akharaiyi and punter Jake Camarda.

White signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2024, but missed his entire rookie season due to a knee injury.

Sokol spent part of the 2024 season on the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad. He originally joined the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

In addition to these moves, the Bills also activated defensive end Landon Jackson from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list after passing his physical.

Jackson was drafted by the Bills in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Day 1 of training camp gets underway on Wednesday with practice starting at 9:45 a.m.
