Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The headline story of the day at One Bills Drive was the absence of wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the first day of Buffalo Bills mandatory minicamp.
After not attending any of the voluntary sessions over the first eight weeks, Diggs also didn’t show up on the field for the first mandatory session, either.
Diggs is in Western New York, showed up for the team's medical evaluation on Monday, and was even at the facility Tuesday morning before leaving prior to practice.
Quarterback Josh Allen and defensive end Von Miller were asked extensively about Diggs' absence.
"I know, internally, we are working on some things, not football related," Allen said of Diggs' absence on Tuesday. He then added, "'Stef' is my guy. I f****n' love him."

Several times, Miller said the situation "is not that serious," and that he supports Diggs.
Still, no one is publicly saying what the issues are that are keeping the receiver away from practicing with his teammates.
"There are some things that could’ve gone better last year," Allen said. "I think as an organization, maybe we’re not communicating the right way."
Diggs was the only player on the roster not there. Every other player showed up.
Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips didn’t participate, as he continued to work on the side with trainers.
Tight end Dawson Knox took an inadvertent shot to his leg that caused him to be tended to by trainers and not take any more reps.
Rookie wide receiver Justin Shorter was on the exercise bike for some time during the early a portion of the session, then re-joined the team.
