The Buffalo Bills have re-signed defensive tackle Eli Ankou to a Reserve/Future contract, the team announced on Monday.
Ankou had two different stints with the Bills in 2021, signing with them in June, released during training camp, then re-signing again in November to their practice squad. In between, he also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons', Pittsburgh Steelers' and Tennessee Titans' rosters.

Ankou was elevated to the active roster for five different games and provided solid depth along the defensive line, particularly when Star Lotulelei was unavailable to play. He played at least 22% of the defensive plays in each contest, topping out at 35% in Week 13 against the New England Patriots.
In those five games he collected nine total tackles and a sack.
