The team announced on Monday it has agreed to terms on a new three-year deal with veteran punter Sam Martin, along with veteran linebacker and special teams expert Tyler Matakevich on a one-year contract.

Martin decides to remain in Buffalo after joining the team back in August shortly before the start of the 2022 regular season. NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo says Martin's deal is worth up to $7.5 million with $4.115 million of that money guaranteed.

The 33-year-old averaged 47.7 yards per-punt in 2022, while booting a career-low 45 punts 16 games played for Buffalo. Martin also was a huge help for the continued success of kicker Tyler Bass, who kept his field goal percentage up at 87.1%.

As for Matakevich, he sticks around for, at least, another season after spending the last three seasons in Western New York. The 30-year-old has primarily played as a special teams ace with the Bills, playing 1,013 snaps on special teams in those three years and registering 48 combines tackles.

While he has served as a backup on the Buffalo defense, Matakevich has only played 118 total defensive snaps with the Bills, including just three in the 2022 season.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Matakevich's deal is a two-year contract that voids to one year.

NFL Free Agency officially opens at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
