Bills release defensive end Von Miller

The move will save the club $8.3 million in cap space

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - After three seasons played in Western New York, the Buffalo Bills have released edge rusher Von Miller.

Miller, who will be 36-years-old prior to the start of next season, still had three years remaining on a $120 million deal he signed prior to the 2022 season.

The three-time All-Pro and future Hall-of-Famer was scheduled to count over $23 million against the team's salary cap in 2025. However, the release will clear $8.3 million in cap space.

That money will be available to the Bills immediately when free agency begins next week, and also allows Miller to sign with any club right away.

Even though they'll save over $8 million, the Bills will still have to account for over $15 million on their salary cap for Miller in dead cap money for 2025.
