The Buffalo Bills have released defensive tackle Nazair Jones just 24 days after signing him.
Prior to being signed by the Bills on June 22, Jones had played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2017-18, appearing in 20 games, including two starts, collecting 26 total tackles, four for loss, two sacks, and an interception. He missed the entire 2019 season after being placed on Injured Reserve with a knee injury and was not on an NFL roster in 2020.
With the move, the Bills' active roster now stands at 88 players, including a defensive tackle group of Ed Oliver, Star Lotulelei, Harrison Phillips, Vernon Butler, Justin Zimmer, Brandin Bryant, Eli Ankou, and Treyvon Hester.
The Bills currently have three open roster spots.
