Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills announced on Thursday the release of veteran offensive tackle Germain Ifedi.
This move could be an indicator that defensive tackle DaQuan Jones is ready to return from Injured Reserve, as he battles back from a pectoral injury suffered in a Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ifedi spent the early part of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons, appearing in 102 games with 83 starts.
The 29-year-old signed with the Bills this offseason after being cut by the Detroit Lions.
Ifedi did not see any action with the Bills this year, and spent much of the year as a healthy inactive.
