Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Shortly after the acquisition of wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills announced the release of veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Valdes-Scantling, 30, signed a one-year deal worth $2.25 million with the Bills this offseason back on May 14. This comes after spending his two seasons prior with the Kansas City Chiefs, winning back-to-back Super Bowls.
In his six games this year with the Bills, Valdes-Scantling had only caught two passes on nine targets for 26 yards.
The Bills will return to game action on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
