Bills restructure Spencer Brown's contract, free up over $10 million in cap space

The veteran offensive tackle signed a new deal with the team last year

Indianapolis, Ind. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills have freed up over $10 million in salary cap space by restructuring the contract of offensive tackle Spencer Brown. General manager and president of football operations Brandon Beane confirmed the restructuring on Tuesday while speaking to reporters at the annual NFL Scouting Combine.

Beane says they still don't know the exact cap figure for each club in 2026, so it's too early to know if this move will put them under the salary cap, or if they will need to do a little more work prior to the new league year on March 11.

Brown signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension last offseason.

The 27-year-old was selected by the Bills in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Northern Iowa, and has started 69 games over his first five seasons in Buffalo.
