Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills announced the signing of defensive end Casey Toohill on Tuesday to a one-year contract.

Toohill spent the last three-plus seasons with the Washington Commanders after entering the NFL as a seventh-round draft choice of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020.

The 6-foot-5, 254-pounder from Stanford had his best season last year when he collected five sacks and 26 total tackles.

The 27-year-old Toohill has played 57 NFL games in his NFL career with 14 starts.

The Bills also formally announced the signing of running back Ty Johnson to a one-year deal after he had reportedly re-signed with the team last week.
