Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have added another piece to their defensive line group, signing defensive tackle DeShawn Williams to a one-year contract. Ryan Talbot from New York Upstate was the first to report the signing.

The 31-year-old spent his 2023 season in Carolina with the Panthers after signing a one-year deal as a free agent. In 16 games played last year, Williams managed to make 10 starts, while recording 33 tackles and a sack.

Williams entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2015. He would bounce back-and-forth between the roster and the Bengals' practice squad until 2018 when he was signed by the Denver Broncos.

With the Broncos, Williams continued to split time between the practice squad and active roster, until 2020 when he started 11 games and recorded two sacks.

Williams' career year came in his final season in Denver in 2022, where he played all 17 games, starting 15 of those contests with 37 total tackles and 4.5 sacks.
