Bills sign wide receiver Mecole Hardman to practice squad

Hardman is a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - With the Buffalo Bills struggling to find ways to fully activate their passing game, the team has announced the addition of veteran Mecole Hardman by signing him to the practice squad.

Hardman joins the Bills after having spent the early parts of the 2025 season in Green Bay with the Packers. While Hardman never played in the regular season with the Packers, he did spend some time on the team's practice squad before being released in late September.

Over his six seasons in the NFL, the 27-year-old has spent the majority of his time with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was a key contributor to the team's three Super Bowl titles since 2019. In 75 career games with Kansas City, Hardman has reeled in 177 receptions on 255 targets (69.4% completion rate) for 2,296 yards and 16 touchdowns.

In the playoffs, Hardman has collected 27 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. One of his touchdowns came in overtime of Super Bowl LVIII to beat the San Francisco 49ers.

He also spent some brief time in New York with the Jets, playing in just five games.

Hardman was a former second-round pick (56th overall) of the Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia.

To make room for Hardman on the practice squad, the Bills released wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson and defensive end Kingsley Jonathan.

In addition, the Bills have placed defensive end Landon Jackson on Injured Reserve after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins.
