Patrick DiMarco's tenure with the Buffalo Bills appears to be officially over.
The Bills announced Tuesday night that the team has waived the veteran fullback with an injury settlement.
This moves comes after the team placed DiMarco on season-ending injured reserve on Friday with a neck injury. The 31-year-old had been injured during the entirety of training camp and never practiced during the time the media was allowed to view practices.
DiMarco spent three seasons with the Bills after signing as a free agent in 2017. During his time in Buffalo, DiMarco never missed a game, while starting 18 games at fullback and was used primarily as a blocker and core special teams player.
Before joining the Bills, DiMarco spent four years with the Atlanta Falcons establishing himself as one of the league's better fullbacks. His NFL career took off with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012 after signing as a free agent. He went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of South Carolina.
