Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - While the Buffalo Bills had until Monday to make a final decision on matching an offer sheet for swing tackle Ryan Van Demark, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported Friday the team will elect not to match it, allowing the 27-year-old to join the Minnesota Vikings.
Van Demark signed the offer sheet with the Vikings that will fully guarantee him $4.2 million on a one-year deal.
The Bills will not receive any compensation for Van Demark, since he was undrafted and the team gave him the lowest qualifying offer as a restricted free agent of one-year, $3.52 million.
Van Demark was signed by the Bills following training camp in 2022 after he was waived by the Indianapolis Colts. He was signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent out of UConn.
Over his four seasons spent with the Bills, Van Demark played in 43 games, including all 17 last season, while also making six career starts.
