Brady: 'A lot of things to clean up' after narrow Bills win

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR) - The Buffalo Bills continue their winning ways in close fashion after a back and forth contest vs the Chargers.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills offense struggled to put points on the board early, but overcame severe turnover issues. Allen scored two rushing touchdowns and the offense overcame a five-turnover day.

Bills head coach Joe Brady told the media following the game that despite starting off the season at a perfect 3-0 record, the turnovers absolutely need to be cleaned up going into week four and the blame falls sorely on the coach. At the same point, Coach Brady praised the defense for keeping the Bills offense in the game.

"That's unacceptable. That's that's purely a reflection of me, and I'm not doing a good enough job. You turn the ball over five times in a game, you're not going to win many games, right? You're learning a lot about the team as we go, but I'm so proud of the defense, just the way that they responded. And you learn a lot, like, hey, are we a front running team? Do we have to have success early to sustain success? And how are we going to handle sudden changes? And like, defense kept us in the game early, right? I think first like eight drives, and we had five takeaways. I mean, that's it's unacceptable, and that falls squarely on me.", Brady told the media.

Despite the five turnover performance, Allen, Cook, and the rest of the Bills offense was able to rally back in the second half. Brady highly praised the second half performance from his offense.

"We're always going to ride with Josh, and we're able to win the football game because of Josh Allen and the decisions that he made. But there's some turnovers that he's going to want back, and the fact that we were able to find ways to win that game without him having to be perfect speaks to the speaks to our football team."

The Bills will host the AFC East division rival, New England Patriots next Sunday October 4, at 1PM, where the Bills look to extend their record to a perfect 4-0 record.
