Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Preparations for the 2025 season get into full swing on Wednesday with the opening of Buffalo Bills training camp at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford.
Here is one storyline to follow for each offensive position over the next several weeks before the final 53-man roster is set:

Quarterback
How secure is Mitch Trubisky as the backup to Josh Allen?
The team re-signed Mike White at the end of last season, and both players have one year contracts. Releasing Trubisky would cost the Bills $1.7 million in dead cap money, but would also save $400,000 more than releasing White.

Running back
The biggest storyline of camp may be the James Cook contract situation.
Cook still doesn’t have a long-term deal, and will enter the final year of his rookie contract. There is a chance he does not report, which would make it an even bigger story.
But assuming he does, does he participate in every drill? Is there a deal on the horizon? It’s all going to be closely followed.

Wide receiver
The only two notable changes on the entire offensive side of the ball this offseason were signing receivers Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore, essentially replacing Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins.
How will they impact what coordinator Joe Brady wants to do, and how quickly?
Palmer will clearly be on the team, considering the contract he signed. What, if anything, does Moore need to do to secure his spot?

Offensive line
I really can’t remember the last time any team had not only their entire starting five offensive linemen returning, but all of their main backups, as well.
With all that stability, the only question may be if one of those five backup roles get snatched away by rookie draft pick Chase Lundt, third-year tackle Richard Gouriage, or someone else who emerges during camp?

Tight end
Dalton Kincaid’s size and health will both be largely talked about throughout the season, especially at the start of camp. Fans will want to see and know he has gotten bigger and stronger, and overcome his knee injuries from 2024.

Specialists
Jake Camarda and Brad Robbins will both get their chances, but will either punter make an early impression to remain on the 53-man roster?
Or will the team have to look elsewhere at the end of camp?
