Dawson Knox misses second day of practice with back injury

Micah Hyde and Leonard Floyd both returned to practice on Thursday

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Both defensive end Leonard Floyd and safety Micah Hyde returned to practice for the Buffalo Bills on Thursday on a limited basis. Floyd is dealing with an ankle injury, while Hyde nurses a hamstring issue.

Both players did not practice on Wednesday with their respective ailments.

However, tight end Dawson Knox missed his second-straight day with a back issue. Head coach Sean McDermott says they'd take it "one day at a time" with Knox.

Running back James Cook was excused from Thursday's for the birth of his daughter.

The 1-1 Bills will travel to Washington, D.C. to take on the 2-0 Commanders on Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field.

For the Commanders, defensive tackle Daron Payne was upgraded to a limited participant on Thursday as he deals with an ankle injury. Tight end Logan Thomas missed his second-straight day while in concussion protocol.
