Bills dominate the Browns for second win in the preseason

Buffalo's defense shutting out the Browns in the 2nd Half for a 31-7 win

Cleveland, Ohio (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills get their second win of the preseason in dominating fashion with a 31-7 win over the Cleveland Browns. The Bills dominated the whole way shutting out the Browns in the 2nd half.




Josh Allen and most of the starters are not playing against the Browns. Kyle Allen makes the start at quarterback for the Bills receiving the opening kickoff. Just a minute and 49 seconds of game action the game has been delayed due to lightning.

After almost an hour of a rain delay, the offense is back on the field. After a pass interference in the endzone the Bills got the ball at the one-yard-line. Ray Davis would eventually punch it in giving the Bills a 7-0 lead.



Shedeur Sanders getting the start in the first half for the Browns. The Cleveland offense matched the Bills opening drive. Sanders completing all four of his passes capping off with a touchdown by Luke Floriea making the score 7-7.

After trading punts the Browns were able to move the ball again with Sanders still at quarterback finding Floriea again for a big 23-yard completion. However the Bills are able to take the ball away as Damar Hamlin is able to intercept a tipped pass from Sanders giving the ball back to the Bills.



The offense takes off with a 20-yard catch by Trent Sherfield. But the offense can't convert on 3rd down forcing the Bills to punt the ball for the third time in the half.

With less than a minute in the half the Bills get the ball back with a 37-yard pass from Allen to Ja'Mori Maclin. Allen would then hit Mecole Hardman for a nine-yard touchdown giving the Bills a 14-7 lead right before the end of the half.


Deshaun Watson making the start in the 2nd half for the Browns and the Bills defense forces a three-and-out giving the ball to the Bills offense for their first drive of the 2nd half.

Shane Buechele taking over under center for the Bills, the Bills get into range for Tyler Bass who nails a 52-yard field goal giving the Bills a 10 point lead.

The Browns get their first promising drive of the second half ends with another turnover. Te'Cory Couch steals the ball away giving the ball back to the offense.

Two plays later Buechele finds Maclin who broke a tackle and was off to the races with a 71-yard touchdown giving the Bills a 24-7 lead in the 3rd quarter.


The Bills offense continues to pick apart the Browns defense. Getting down into the redzone and Buechele takes it himself and gives the Bills a 31-7 lead in the 4th quarter.

The Browns make another change at quarterback as Dillion Gabriel takes over. However penalties back up the Browns offense forcing a quick three-and-out.

Heading into the 2-Minute Warning the Bills the Bills offense will run out the clock with a couple kneel downs as the Bills get their second win of the preseason shutting out the Browns in the 2nd half with a 31-7 win.
