Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Three Buffalo Bills players rejoined the team at practice this week after not playing the first six regular season games.
Rookie first-round draft pick Maxwell Hairston, who has been out since July after spraining his knee and being placed on Injured Reserve, had his 21-day practice window opened this week. That means the cornerback will remain on IR, but be able to practice with the club, who now has three weeks to put the him on the 53-man active roster.
Meanwhile, defensive end Michael Hoecht and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi also returned to the field for the first time after serving their six-game league-imposed suspensions for PED use.
The Bills (4-2) travel to Charlotte, N.C. this weekend to face the Carolina Panthers (4-3) on Sunday, who've won three-straight contests.
Five Bills players were listed as limited participants at Wednesday's practice, which was moved into the fieldhouse to due inclement weather.
Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf), wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee/ankle), and safety Taylor Rapp (knee) did not participate.
Prior to practice, head coach Sean McDermott said Jones and Palmer are week-to-week with their injuries, and the team was still gathering information and evaluating Rapp's injury situation.
