Pittsford, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Football is officially back, as the Buffalo Bills opened up their 2022 edition of training camp on Sunday at St. John Fisher University in Rochester.
This year's training camp returns to Pittsford after three years due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also one of the most highly anticipated camps in some time for the Bills with their expectations for the 2022 NFL season being so high.
However, there is still plenty to sort out for the Bills with about six weeks before the opening of the season in Los Angeles against the defending Super Bowl champion Rams. Buffalo will need to trim its roster from the maximum 90 players for camp to 53 before the start of the regular season.
Meanwhile, there are some roster battles that will need to be sorted out before the opener on Sept. 8 at SoFi Stadium. Some of the notable positions that will be contested this camp includes the offensive line - especially at both guard positions - defensive tackle, cornerback opposite Tre'Davious White and punter.

With the return of training camp kicking off earlier this week, Tuesday also marked the return of the weekly tradition unlike any other. That's right, the return of "Howard Picks the Bills"!
In the first official edition of "Howard Picks the Bills" this season, Howard Simon picked Buffalo to finish the regular season with a 14-3 record. That came just hours after the NFL released the schedule for the 2022 season.
After several weeks to sit on the schedule and evaluate the happenings of other teams around the NFL, Howard returned on Tuesday at training camp to one-up his picks back in May. This time around, he ended up with the Bills picking up another win to finish the 2022 campaign with a franchise-best 15-2 record, and likely the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
