Despite coming into Sunday night's matchup as underdogs on the road, the Buffalo Bills continued to play some solid football in all three phases of the game, dominating the Kansas City Chiefs in a 38-20 win at Arrowhead Stadium.
Josh Allen got the best of Patrick Mahomes in their rematch of the 2020 AFC Championship Game, as the Bills' fourth-year quarterback was able to complete 15-of-26 pass attempts for 315 yards and three touchdowns. Allen was able to torch the Chiefs defense through the air, and also on the ground with another 59 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown.
So far through five games of the 2021 season, the Buffalo offense has put up decent production, ranking eighth in the NFL with an average of 410.4 yards per-game, while topping the league in scoring with 34.4 points per-game. Buffalo is making the most of their production on the scoreboard, while generating plenty of ball movement by ranking fifth in the run game (140.4 yards per-game) and ninth in the pass game (270 yards per-game).

Meanwhile, the Buffalo defense wreaked havoc on Mahomes and the Kansas City offense throughout Sunday night, limiting the 2018 NFL MVP to just 272 yards passing and 61 yards rushing on the night. As an overall unit, the Chiefs offense was only able to gain 392 yards of total offense on the NFL's No. 1 ranked defense.
Through the opening five games of the season, Buffalo is leading the NFL with the lowest average yards per-game rate (251.8) and the lowest points per-game rate (12.8). The Bills also currently sit second in the league in defending the pass (173.4 yards per-game) and third in defending the run (78.4 yards per-game).
Sunday's win over the Chiefs was a remarkable achievement for a team that has now, in the eyes of many, taken over as the top-team in the AFC.
With one more week until the Bills go on the bye, the team will once again be featured in prime-time - this time on the grand stage of "Monday Night Football" when Buffalo travels to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
It has already been quite a rollercoaster season for the Titans, who currently sit atop the AFC South comfortably with a 3-2 record. Tennessee dropped its opening week matchup with the undefeated Arizona Cardinals, but bounced back with two impressive wins over the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts before putting up a stinker against the New York Jets in Week 4.
This past week was the "Derrick Henry Show," as the Titans running back ran all over the Jaguars with 130 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-19 win in Jacksonville. Henry is, once again, leading the NFL in rushing to this point with 640 yards on 142 carries, averaging 4.5 yards per-attempt. The 27-year-old is doing his best to put himself in the discussion for NFL MVP in 2021 with his impressive stats through five games.
The last time the Bills and Titans squared off also came in prime-time in Nashville, but it happened to come on a Tuesday night last season due to a COVID-19 outbreak that affected the Titans. That contest did not end well for the Bills, as they ended up suffering their first defeat of the 2020 season in a 42-16 blowout.
With the Bills riding high on their momentum, Howard Simon's confidence in the team has reached a new regular season high.
With Howard also 4-1 on the 2021 season with his picks and coming off picking Buffalo to beat the Chiefs in Week 5, he is picking the Bills to beat the Titans on Monday night, while also having the team lose just one more game all season to finish with a 15-2 overall record.
